Day 1 Depart Las Vegas 9am
We start this fantastic trip by picking
up you and your fellow Adventurers in Las Vegas. We'll prep you for
your adventure and then enjoy a comfortable journey to Valley of
Fire State Park. We'll spend the day scrambling on sandstone and
hiking past petroglyph panels and petrified wood. End the day
with a cookout and a campfire under the stars.
Day 2 Red Rocks
National Conservation Area. We'll explore a colorful red sandstone canyon
that beckons hikers to scramble to their sun-warmed walls
After a fun day in the park, we'll journey to Death Valley for a
sunset cookout and campfire.
Day 3 Death Valley National Park Awaken to the smell of
fresh coffee and a hot breakfast before we begin our tour of the
largest National Park in the lower 48. We'll begin at the stunning
overlook at Zabrieski's Point and hike down Golden Canyon. Then it
is off to Badwater Basin, the lowest spot in the U.S., at 282 BELOW
sea level. Tonight, experience the silky warm waters of Tecopa Hot
Springs.
Day 4 Mojave National Preserve Cacti of all kinds carpet
this park! Step into the past as we explore the newly refurbished
Historic Kelso Depot. We'll play on the Kelso Sand
Dunes and explore the truly unique geology and petroglyphs on a
hike near Hole in the Wall. Tonight, we'll rest our heads in a forest of Joshua
Trees!
Day 5 Joshua Tree National National Park
A playground for
kids of all ages, climbers and hikers love Joshua Tree!
If you love technical hiking, this is a place you'll never forget. Stick to the trail, or scamper around
on the boulders! Either way, you'll never know what lizard, bird, or
blooming cactus may be hiding around the next bend! We'll explore
Hidden Valley, Barker Dam, Skull Rock, or for a bit more of a
challenge, hike up Ryan Mt for a panoramic view of the park.

Day 6
Return to Las Vegas by noon.

Weather
Warm to hot days and cool to chilly nights are typical on this tour. Nights at the higher elevations of Joahua Tree
can be chilly. The temperatures drop off quickly in the
desert!
Hikes
This tour is a lighter hiking tour. Hikes are generally
fairly non-technical and 2-5 miles in length. There is always something for
everyone!

Hiking at Valley of Fire
Joshua Tree offers beautiful vistas of the
surrounding mountains and diverse flora such as
joshua tree, yuccas, and cacti.
If the conditions are right, the Mojave Desert
can offer incredible spring blooms.
Badwater Salt Flats is 282 feet below sea
level. The Panamint Mts in the background are over 11,000 feet!
If the conditions are right (adequate rain and wind) the desert
puts on a colorful show in the early spring!
Hiking Ryan Mt in Joshua Tree gets you high above the Joshua Tree
forests with sweeping views of the park.
