Day 2
Badlands National Park
The changing colors at sunrise and sunset are just the beginning
of what this unique park has to offer. The colorful eroded
formations are surrounded by vast prairie lands. Bison, prairie

Day 3
Devils Tower National Monument
We all remember the mashed potato model of this
monolith in that Richard Dreyfuss made in Close Encounters, but let us assure you, it pales in
comparison to the real thing! Just how was this 867 foot
formation created? The local native myth suggests it was clawed
by a bear. Discover for yourself how it was created on one of the
wooded trails that surround the monument.
Hiking 1-8 miles |
 |
Day 4
Mt Rushmore National Memorial
Crazy Horse Monument
Mt Rushmore is the ultimate memorial to our nation. Discover the
history of how this manmade feat came to be. In the afternoon
we'll visit Crazy Horse Monument and discover the story of two
incredible men, Chief Crazy Horse and sculptor Korczak. You'll
be inspired by the beautiful scenery and their dedication and
perseverance, as well as that of the local native people, the
Lakota Sioux.
Hiking 1-2 miles |
 |
Day 5 and 6
Custer State Park
Custer State Park is the heart of the Black Hills. We'll spend 2
days exploring its unique rock formations and beautiful mountain lakes.
Wild life sightings may include bison, big horn sheep, deer,
bear, and more. One of the highlights will be hiking Harny Peak,
the tallest mountain in South Dakota at 7,244 ft. The views from
the top are stunning.
Hiking 1-8 miles |
 |
