Q
: Why mountain bike with AdventureBus?
Unlike many other mountain bike tour companies that begin and
end their tours in small towns such as Moab, we save you the
extra car rental or shuttle fee by picking you up in Salt Lake
City, a major city with an International Airport. We have hand
picked the best trails in the west for all riding abilities. On
our tours you have the freedom to ride, hike or read a book in
the beautiful, peaceful places we go. It’s Up to you.
Q : What are your MTB trips like?
A : We can sum that up in one word…easy going, down to
earth, and super fun. After leaving civilization you’ll soon
find yourself rolling across red sticky sandstone, gliding down
or pedaling your way through the aspens of the high country…
It’s the feeling you get back home when you ride with your
friends, but better. And in landscapes that blow your mind.
Amazing formations, millions of years in the making…just for
you and your bike.
Q : Do You Have…I Mean, Will We Be Able
to, Well, You know, Can we…
A : Yes, even the most ‘macho man’ and ‘tough as
nails’ woman will get to roast marshmallows, and make s’mores
without loosing anyone’s respect. Relax, this is
AdventureBus.
Q : Which MTB trip is for me?
A : Both of our bike trips, Fat Tire Dreamin, and
Slickrock Express offer easy-difficult rides. Also, both trips
run in tandem with other hiking trips, so if you want to take a
break from riding, you can easily hike, or participate in other
activities for the day. Both trips have magnificent scenery and
all rides are unforgettable.
Q : Do I need prior mountain bike
experience?
A : Yes, we reccommend at least some experience for both
trips. You will find the terrain in Utah to be very unique, but
with each day that goes by, your skills improve and soon you’re
a real live mountain biker with photos to prove it. That’s
photos, not x-rays.
Q : What’s the riding like?
A : We have hand picked the best trails in the west for
all riding abilities. Our adventures accommodate diverse skill
levels, so there is always someone to ride with that rides at
‘your speed’. And riding with a group is a great way to
improve your skills and your fitness level.
Q : How fit do I need to be?
A : The trails we have picked have many options so there
is always a comfortable ride available for all fitness levels.
We do recommend that you start getting out on your bike or
walking 20 minutes a day for the two weeks before the trip will
do wonders for your riding.
Q : How many miles per day do we ride?
A : We usually average 12-20 miles a day but may do as
many as 35. Keep in mind; 12 miles mountain biking on a
slickrock sandstone trail is equivalent to 40 miles on a road
bike. There is as much or as little riding as you like on all
trips.
Q : Can I rent a bike/Where do I send my bike?
A : Both Front and Full Suspension Mountain
Bike Rentals are available from AdventureBus. Bikes Models
are Voo Doo (of San Francisco) in all sizes, 16”-21” .
Rental is $125 for
front suspension, $150 for full suspension. (Includes helmet,
water bottle, spare tubes etc)

Q : What’s The Food Like?
A : It’s the high carb, get you goin’, never tasted so good,
better than mom used to make, (but don’t tell mom I said that)
kind of meals. Chicken Pesto Pasta, Thai Stir Fry, and
Cincinnati Chili are just a few you will feast on. We’ll keep
you fat and happy. When we utilize meat, there will be
alternatives. All diets can be accommodated.
Q : Where do we sleep?
A : When you’re not sleeping like a baby on the super
comfy bus beds, or snuggled up in a tent it means you have
decided to embrace nature and sleep out under the stars. This is
the where it all happens… Sunrises, sunsets, full moons, UFO’s
