Question of the Month:
Are AdventureBus tours appropriate for children?

Yes! AdventureBus tours are
appropriate for all ages! Guests on our bus have been
as young as 7 and as old as 70! As long as you are young at
heart, age doesn't matter. Most of the people who choose to go
on an AdventureBus tour, are there to experience and explore
beautiful places and to meet interesting people. These
common goals make differences like age virtually disappear!
Probably the
better question to ask, is are you and your children appropriate
for AdventureBus? You know your children best. If they have been
hiking and camping before and enjoyed it, chances are, they will
LOVE Adventurebus. If they haven't, AdventureBus may
not be the best way to give hiking and camping a try.
What makes
our tours enjoyable for all ages is the variety of activities
available to you. You will not need to stick with the group
throughout the day, and we can certainly point you in the right
direction for hikes appropriate for your children's abilities.
Most of the National Parks we visit have Jr. Ranger programs
especially designed for children. We will do our best to
make those programs accessible to you.
Here is what
you should keep in mind if you are deciding whether or not to
bring your children on an AdventureBus tour. Your children
should have had some experience with hiking and camping
previous to the trip. Also keep in mind that your child may come
in contact with people from many different cultures and
backgrounds. Often, at least 50% of our passengers are
from other countries. The rest are from all over the US.
We cannot guarantee that there
will be other children on the tour you choose. If you are
interested in bringing your children on an AdventureBus tour,
please call us, and we will let you know which tours would be
appropriate. If you would like to speak with families who have
been on our trips, let us know, and we will be more than happy
to put you in contact with them. email:

Here are some examples of kids
who have been on an AdventureBus tour, and loved it!

Nathaniel, age 8 came on a Grand Canyon tour in 2003 with his 11
year old sister and his Mom. He commented on how our banana
chocolate chip pancakes tasted like candy.

Also on that tour were the Venuttis, a family of five from New
Hampshire. They brought their 3 sons ages 11, 13, and 14 and had
a wonderful time.

Thanks a lot Stephanie and Ardell!
I had lots of fun while I was in Utah and want to come back in
the near future. This trip was an inspiration to me to travel
the world and taught me there is more out in this world than
just what is in Ohio. Thanks again! Gloria, (age 12) Grand Canyon and the Wild West July, 2004
