Grand Canyon and the Wild
West
Canadian Girl Guides Charter
Twelve Girl Guides and 8 of their moms joined us for a Grand
Canyon and the Wild West tour May 17-24th, 2008. We explored
Zion, Bryce, Arches and Grand Canyon National Parks. (Became Jr.
Rangers at Bryce and Arches!) Rafted on the Colorado River
(despite wind and rain). Camped in a wind and sand storm at
Monument Valley and experienced Moab's backcountry on an off-roading
Unimog tour. We hiked, sang around the campfire, toasted
marshmallows and hotdogs, cooked chili and campfire stew, swam,
got blisters, took a ton photos, shopped, and had a whole lot of
fun!
