A seven day hiking and multi-sport adventure offered July and August. Features hiking, camping, swimming, boat rides, kayak rentals, wildlife, horseback rides.

This trip is good for all physical levels/abilities.

Trip Details

Arrival & Departure

Departs and returns to Kalispell, MT. Pick up Hotel in Kalispell. Contact Adventure Bus.

Transportation

This tour features our unique Adventure Bus sleeper coach.

Accommodations

This tour features tent camping and bus bunking. We'll provide the tents and sleeping pads. You'll need to rent or bring a sleeping bag. Contact us for helpful hints on accommodations and flights before and after your tour.

Weather

Warm to hot days and cool to chilly nights are typical in on this tour. Changes in temperature and precipitation can change quickly at the higher elevations.

Food

Our meals are geared to provide you with the fuel you need to get through your active days, and yet still extremely tasty. We can accommodate all dietary needs. Click here for sample recipes.

Hikes & Difficulty

The hikes featured on this tour vary in length, technicality, and difficulty. 1-7+ miles. Each location has various hiking options, so there is always something for everyone!

Itinerary

Day 1

Depart Kalispell, MT 2PM

We start this fantastic trip by picking up you and your fellow Adventurers in Kalispell, MT. We'll prep you for your adventure and then enjoy a comfortable journey to Glacier National Park.

Day 2

Avalanche Creek and the Trail of Cedars

Hike to an amazing alpine lake surrounded by snowcapped peaks and steaming waterfalls. The trail first begins with the towering Trail of Cedars and then follows the beautiful Avalanche Creek to Avalanche Lake. In the late afternoon, relax on the shores of beautiful Lake McDonald, rent a kayak, or visit the shops at Apgar Village. We'll enjoy a cookout and campfire tonight, and perhaps a local favorite: Huckleberry Ice Cream!

Red Bus Tour.

Day 3

Rafting and travel to the East Glacier

Spend the morning rafting on the Flathead River or kayaking on Lake McDonald. In the afternoon we'll travel to the East Side of the Park. Travel on a historic Red Bus Tour  over the Going to the Sun Road.

Day 4

Logan Pass

Logan Pass is the Heart of Glacier National Park. Situated right on the Continental Divide, this area offers great hiking and wild life viewing opportunities. Hike to scenic Hidden Lake Overlook, or part of the famous Highline Trail. Keep an eye out for mountain goats, big horn sheep, hoary marmots and maybe even a grizzly!

Day 5

Many Glacier

Nicknamed Little Switzerland, the Many Glaciers area gives us yet another chance to experience snowcapped peaks, pristine lakes, and beautiful alpine meadows. Hike the Swiftcurrent Nature Trail, or for a bigger challenge, try hiking to Josephine or Grinnell Lakes. We also recommend the scenic horseback ride, or renting a kayak for an hour or two, or relaxing on the Lodge porch!

Day 6

St Mary's Valley

Hike along St. Mary's Lake, through thick forests and past cascading creeks to St Mary's and Virginia Falls. Or take a scenic boat ride/hiking combo tour to the same spot. Either way, you'll love these astonishing views of the mountain peaks, waterfalls, and greenish blue lakes!

Day 7

Return to Kalispell, MT

We'll roll back into Kalispell, MT between 10-12noon, exchange emails so we can share photos, and say our goodbyes to all of our new friends!
